For the past several years many of you have supported the HEAT IT TO BEAT IT walk to raise money for Dr. Sardi's research program regarding primary peritoneal cancer (which is what I was diagnosed with in 2011) and to help educate the medical community that so often misdiagnoses this rare form of cancer. My team has raised thousands of dollars, for which I am very appreciative, towards this cause.
This year I am once again organizing a team to participate in the annual Heat It to Beat It walk on Sunday September 22nd at 10:30 (registration anytime after 9:00 a.m.) at Eastern Regional Park located at 11723 Eastern Ave, Middle River, MD 21220. Since this event is located over an hour away from the pool, please feel free to make a donation to sponsor me rather than joining my team, Crab Attackers, as a walker. However, I would love to have you join me for the walk!
I am really excited about supporting Dr. Sardi and his program. He saved my life for which I will be eternally grateful. Since 2010, over $1,000,000 has been raised to increase awareness through education and research. Your donation to participate or sponsor me will be greatly appreciated.
Or, you can mail a check made payable to Mercy Medical Center and on the memo line please write "HEAT IT TO BEAT IT", Nancy Brown. I will be collecting donations and forwarding them to the coordinator at Mercy. My address is 424 Riverside Drive, Pasadena, Md. 21122.
PS: Ladies don't forget to get your annual CA125 blood test. It could save your life.
